Frequently Asked Questions
When and where is the retreat being held?
The retreat takes place from Friday, August 29 to Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Ridgemill Estate, a beautiful winery in Stanthorpe, Queensland. Guests will stay in private vineyard chalets.
Who can attend the retreat?
This retreat is perfect for anyone who loves reading, need a break from daily responsibilities, and enjoy spending time with friends or fellow book lovers.
Whether you’re coming on your own or with a friend, you’ll be joining a warm, inclusive community of fellow readers.
To help everyone unwind and fully immerse in the experience, this is an adult-only event. We kindly ask that children sit this one out.
Who is the featured author?
We’re thrilled to welcome Emma Grey, bestselling author of The Last Love Note and The Pictures of You, for an intimate author event and discussion.
How do I book my spot?
You can book directly on Book World Club’s website to secure your spot. For questions, email us at hello@bookworld.club.
What's Included in the package price?
• Two nights’ accommodation in a private chalet
• Breakfast and dinner each day
• A long winery lunch and wine tour
• A meet-the-author event with Emma Grey
• Book discussions and social gatherings
• A retreat welcome gift bag, including a bottle of wine and thoughtful extras
Is there a payment plan available?
Yes. A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 30 days before the retreat (by July 30, 2025). This ensures your place is fully secured.
Alternatively you can pay in full at time of booking.
What is the cancellation and transfer policy?
The retreat is non-refundable; however, it is transferable. If you can no longer attend, you are welcome to transfer your booking to another person.
If you’re sharing a chalet with a friend, you must have their permission before transferring your booking. If not, the shared arrangement is no longer valid and your spot is forfeited.
This policy is in place because we’ve negotiated a special discounted rate with the venue based on a minimum number of rooms. Once booked, we are committed to paying for your reservation, even if you cancel. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to assist with transferring your booking if needed.
What type of accommodation is available?
You’ll be staying in the private vineyard chalets at Ridgemill Estate Winery—each one beautifully appointed with its own private bathroom, king-size bed, air conditioning, fireplace and an additional fold out bed if required.
If you require the fold-out lounge to be made up as a separate bed, please let us know at the time of booking so we can arrange this with the winery.
You can view images of the chalets here on our website or visit the Ridgemill Estate website for a closer look at the accommodation.
