Global Street Library Challenge
Donate like you’re hand-picking a gift for a friend.
Featured in Issue 4 of Book World Magazine, this global challenge is about more than passing on a book — it’s about sharing stories that mattered to you. We’ve been donating books ourselves, buying from indie bookstores, second-hand shops, and independent authors, and placing them in street libraries around Australia. Now we’re inviting readers, authors, and book lovers around the world to join us.
Find a book you love — one that truly meant something to you.
- Write a short note inside.
- Add one of our free stickers.
- Leave it in a local street library or free book box.
- Then let us know where it ended up.
Each sticker includes a QR code so readers can scan and share the book’s journey. We’ll add it to our growing global map of street libraries — and you’ll be part of a movement to make sure great books don’t sit on shelves gathering dust. They’ll be out in the world, waiting to be found, not forgotten.
