Live Zoom Meetings with the Author
We meet four times a year, online via Zoom—and the author is there with us. Each session includes a guided discussion where you can ask questions and hear directly from the person who wrote the book.
Read the Way You Love
You choose how you want to read—whether it’s an eBook, audiobook, or physical copy. If you’d like to purchase a physical edition, we’ve partnered with an independent bookseller so it can be delivered to your door (additional cost applies).
Something Special in the Mail
In the weeks leading up to each meeting, we’ll send you a small surprise by post—something like a themed activity, a bookmark, or a bookish extra inspired by the story we’re reading together.

When does my membership start?
Your membership begins the day you sign up and is valid for a full 12 months, giving you access to four book club meetings regardless of when you join.
How do I get the books?
You’re free to read in whatever format you prefer—eBook, audiobook, or physical copy. If you’d like to purchase a physical edition, we’ve partnered with an independent bookseller who can ship it directly to you (additional cost applies).
Will I receive a physical Book Club Guide?
No, but we will email you a downloadable guide for each meeting. This includes key info and prompts to enhance your experience. You’ll also receive a surprise item in the post ahead of each session to complement the book and theme.
Do I have to attend the meetings live?
We highly encourage live attendance—it’s where the magic happens, especially with the author joining us. However, if you can’t attend live, we’ll provide a recap of key moments from the discussion.
Can I join if I live outside Australia?
Yes—Book World is global, and we warmly welcome members from around the world. The book club is open to readers everywhere. If you’re joining us from outside Australia, please note that your mailed items may take a little longer to arrive, but we’ll make sure they’re on their way in plenty of time before each meeting.
Can I gift a membership to someone else?
Yes, absolutely. Just purchase the membership as you normally would, and use the recipient’s name and email during checkout. If you’d like us to hold off contacting them until a certain date—or include a personal message—just let us know at the time of purchase.
